Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - RACER

This guide provides information and instruction to faculty, students, and staff with regard to interlibrary loan and the use of RACER

Delivery and Pick-Up

Loans

Loans are usually shipped from the lending library by mail or courier service.

You will receive an automated email message (as long as you registered for RACER with a valid email address) when your loan arrives with instructions for pick up.

The loan period will vary depending on the institution the material is coming from and your status, but will be clearly indicated to you. Please return loans on time.  Late returns may compromise UOIT Library's relationship with other lending libraries and result in delays for future interlibrary loan requests.

Copies

Copies are generally sent electronically but occasionally may be shipped by mail or courier service from the lending library.

Copies will be emailed to the email address that you provided when you registered for your RACER account. If the copy needs to be delivered to you in print format you will receive an automated email message that will include instructions for pick up.

Copies do not need to be returned.
