Finding Articles with Quick Search

Quickly search the library's holdings for articles, books and other resources using Quick Search.

Quick Search can be found on the Library website.

To start, enter your keywords into the Quick Search bar and select Search.

Quick Search results include articles, books and eBooks, streaming video and more. 

You can limit your search results using one or more of the options on the left, under Refine your search and Content Type.

For example:

Items with full text online: Your search results will mainly be articles

Limit to articles from peer-reviewed publications: Your results will include only peer-reviewed journal articles

Journal article (or Magazine Article, Newspaper Article, etc.): Select the type of article you're looking for

Advanced Search

Quick Search has an Advanced Search option.

To narrow your search for an article, you can include details such as:

  • an author's name
  • one or more words in the title
  • the name of a publication (journal, magazine, newspaper, etc.
  • a date range

If you are searching for a specific article, you can also use the Citation Linker.

This search tool is similar to the Advanced Search pictured above, but allows you to include more details about the article you're looking for.
