Citation Management

A guide to using citation managers including EndNote, Mendeley, and Zotero.

What is EndNote?

EndNote Logo

EndNote is a bibliographic software system that can be used to import citations, create a collection of references, and create and format citations for papers.

EndNote Basic is the online version, where you can import citations.

EndNote X8 is the desktop version, where you can upload and save images and manage documents as well as their accompanying citations.

Access EndNote Basic

EndNote Basic is available 'free' through the Library's subscription to Web of Science. EndNote Basic can be accessed through the link below.

Once you have created an EndNote Basic account, you have one year of roaming access.  Every time you access EndNote Basic, the one year of roaming access renews. EndNote Basic accounts continue to be available for one year after leaving Ontario Tech.
