Eligible students and staff may request print material to be mailed to their home. This service is offered to those who are not attending or teaching courses at the north Oshawa or downtown locations. To apply for this service, please submit a registration request to email@example.com and include the following information:
Current phone number
Ontario Tech photo ID card status (do you have a card, is it current?)
It is not necessary to register for Distance Education Services to access online resources.
If you qualify as a Distance Education Borrower, Ontario Tech circulating material that is currently 'in library' will be checked out to you and mailed to your home. Normal loan periods apply. Material must be in receipt of the library by the due date or fines will incur. Non-circulating and reserve material will be photocopied and mailed to your home. Copyright restrictions apply.
If there are irregularities with requests library staff will contact you using the email address we have on record.
If a resource is not available from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Library, submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request. Remember: You must be registered for Distance Education Borrowing Services prior to placing any RACER requests.
To access ILL services, register for RACER. To ensure delivery of received material to your home, when using RACER to request material, choose "Distance Education (Registered Only)" as your pickup location.
