Distance Education Services – Borrowing Material

Current students and staff may request print material to be mailed to their home. To request material, please use the following form:

Ontario Tech circulating material that is currently 'in library' will be checked out to you and mailed to your home. Packages include return postage and instructions for mailing items back to the library. Normal loan periods apply. Material must be in receipt of the library by the due date or fines will incur, if applicable.

Non-circulating and reserve material will be photocopied and mailed to your home. Copyright restrictions apply.

If there are irregularities with requests library staff will contact you using the email address we have on record.

General Ontario Tech Library borrowing information is found here.

Placing Holds

Material that is currently on loan to another patron should be requested using the Place a Request for Library Material Form.

A hold will be placed on the material and it will be sent to you when it has been returned to the library. Do not place a hold directly through the library catalogue unless you want to pick the item up at a Ontario Tech library.
