The Ontario Tech Library is transforming the current course reserves system with Course Readings lists powered by Leganto, a new resource that integrates the Library and Ontario Tech's Canvas LMS to create and manage online reading lists. Instructors can begin to create course reading lists by going to "Leganto Course Readings" on their Canvas course pages.
Using Leganto course readings, information and links to course reserves materials will be available directly in courses, as well as through the Library website. Instructors can make additions to a Leganto course list, by adding materials available through the Library collection, and adding outside resources including links to openly available resources including images and videos. The Library is here to make course materials as accessible as possible and our librarians can assist with suggestions for resources available in the Library collection and other openly available resources to compliment your course.
Leganto is a course reading list tool that integrates seamlessly into the Canvas LMS. It allows instructors and library staff to collaboratively create and manage course reading lists that include books and articles owned by the Library, as well as videos, web resources and much more. Reading lists can be organized by week, add due dates, engage with students in discussion and view usage of course materials.
